Principal Garrett stated that there was one audit finding on the website.  He corrected the finding by identifying the Governance Officers.

Principal Garrett stated that 3,000 dollars was needed to purchase 8 walkies.  Governance approved- Sinon made a motion 1^st and Toler 2^nd the motion. 

        Beta Club

Sinon stated that Beta Club would participate in the state trials and needed 450.00 to register 15 students.  Mindy Schwartz made a motion and it was 2^nd by Toler and approved by the council. 

CCRPI Update

Principal Garrett share that the results would be posted on Wednesday, November 12^th.  The school is in a good place when it comes to the 24-25 data.

Public Comment:  

Comment was made about Hands on Ridgeview.  Total of 54 students participated and it really helped in beautifying the school. 

Lisa Nash wrote a blurb about the Governance Council and its importance and it will be published in the Panther Tales. 

Mindy Schwartz asked about the Title 1 status and Mr. Garrett explained that 50% or more of the school must be on free or reduced lunch and we almost lost the status due to an influx of COSA students.  We kept the status going into the 26-27 school year as the school is over 50%.

Attendees were given hygiene products for both male and female students. High school students presented on the different programs being offered across the county.

·         Budget 26-27 (Looney Updates)

Staff will be experiencing a furlough day on May 21^st due to budget cuts. The end of the school year will now be May 20^th. Another furlough day is expected for the next school year. Less schools will be used for summer school this summer. FAVE will no longer offer service to middle school students. The central office has cut 100 staff members.

·         Present Proposed Annual 26-27 Budget

We will have around $73,000 to run the school in the next school year. This includes night custodial staff, SRO overtime, and any overtime for staff. Field trips will be limited due to reduced funds. We are trying to over purchase goods this year such as paper, tissue, paper towels.

We will no longer offer Japanese to students. We will lose the Japanese teacher, the second front office employee, and the library paraprofessional.
