Ridgeview Performing Arts Opportunities
Ridgeview Panthers benefit from the unique middle school opportunity to learn and hone incredible skills in performing music classes as well as in the performing arts through drama and the spring musical. As an International Baccalaureate school, Ridgeview believes that students acquire important skills and experiences that contribute to academic- and social well-roundedness when they participate in a performing arts experience. Through the support of the Ridgeview Foundation, which provides additional funding for performing arts and athletics, we are proud to offer a performing arts program that is award-winning and renowned.
Approximately 70% of Ridgeview's students participate in band, chorus, or orchestra -- our performing arts music classes. Under the direction of Band Director Laney Hudson, Orchestra Director Matthew Leo, and Chorus Director Jeremiah Robinson. Ridgeview's performing arts music programs consistently receive ratings of superior and excellent at Georgia's Lage Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE), and students are regularly invited to play in local community events including: The Sandy Springs Festival, Byers Theatre at City Springs, The Atlanta Symphony Hall, the High Point Civic Association Annual Meeting, and at many events offered in Fulton County Schools.
The Ridgeview performing arts team and participating 7th and 8th grade students have an overnight field trip every two years. Previous travel locations include New Orleans, Charleston, Savannah, Nashville, and Universal Studios in Orlando.
Ridgeview's musical experience is second-to-none, and we invite you to learn more about our performing arts music programs by reaching out to the directors.
We are thankful for the Ridgeview Foundation and our community's support of it so that we can continue to offer stellar performing arts opportunities.
